The sea and clouds are too saturated so they are distracting. You shouldn't use airbrush, it will only allow you to obtain a plastic look. A good way to obtain realistic or solid looking figures is to use a hard brush with a low opacity.

Work more on anatomy and proportions
It's very gentle and sensitive work.
She looks like she's listening very carefully to somebody and trying her best to understand
